Greetings from - from Cebu City - Philippines
A few Facebook pictures and video clips borrowed from Youtube channels to share some of my experiences of my first week on my current trip to Cebu City, Philippines.
I am struck with the striking contrasts from abject poverty... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc1YatqW23I

The very first night, Friday. April 13th, Jonathan took me to Willo's Resto Bar to introduce me to the Queen City night life: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Willos-Resto-bar/101762949899717
We went Island hopping on the weekend of April 14th and 15th

Then I had lunch with friends in a beautiful Thai Restaurant in the Ayala Centre - one of the largest shopping centres.

Now I am sitting at a computer in the Clicking Labs office in Cebu City sharing this message: http://www.clickinglabs.com
This evening I will play floor hockey with the local floor hockey teams that are sponsored by Clicking Labs.
I have met many friendly people - local Filipinos and people from all over the world. It is a real treat to be able to come here and know that Jonathan has been here for over a year - so he knows lots of people to meet and places to visit.
On Tuesday, April 17th, there were 38 people from the Philippines who visited my blog - The UsuryFree Eye Opener: http://usuryfree.blogspot.com Those with whom I have had conversations realize the importance of supporting alternative economic possibilities - especially in these poverty-stricken areas of the third world.
I like this quote from a Filipino usuryfree creative:
'A sane banking, financial and economic system as usury-free Government created money must replace the insane/debt-logged/racketeering and usury-based money system existing now in the Philippines and all over the world.' - a quote from my friend, Eric V. Encina' Filipino Social Crediter/Monetary Reformer - Roxas City, Capiz Province, Philippines Email: eric.encina8@gmail.com
Tomorrow will bring new adventures.
Enjoy the video clips.
Tom
