Winners of the Winged Lion Awards For 2012

Launched in 2005, the Winged Lion Awards for 2012 were presented to the winners during the 8^th year for UsuryFree Week, scheduled from November 13^th to 19^th.  It was a milestone year for the Winged Lion Awards as there were winners in four different countries: Canada, USA, Philippines and Malaysia.

Indeed, 2012 was a banner year for active, usuryfre creatives all around the world and it appears that the exchange tool of a usuryfree time currency will become the alternative usuryfree currency of choice as we progress into this 21^st Century.

UsuryFree creatives celebrated 8 years of innovative leadership in search of workable and proven models of alternative currencies that can be used to negotiate trades/exchanges with – locavores – consumers who are ready and willing to shop locally and thereby make a firm commitment to change the way they spend their money.

Usuryfree creative are willing to step outside of their former “hassle-free zones” and take a leadership role to inspire others to pursue the usuryfree lifestyle. Nominees for the Winged Lion Awards open doors that were previously closed and walk through them bringing joy to those who dare to taste the experience of living the usuryfree lifestyle.

The recognition of the winners of the Winged Lion Awards is important because their brave actions motivate and inspire others. The values and actions modeled by the winners of the Winged Lion Awards prove that they are committed to the belief that ‘Life Without Usury” will be experienced once again in this 21^st Century.

We still have a long road to travel BUT we have started the journey towards usuryfree living.
