The challenge of the 5th Annual Economic Forum continues to be about raising awareness. Everyone is affected by the global monetary system, but few people understand its impact.
Everyone - individuals, businesses, and even governments - all scramble for more money. Today it’s called ‘austerity measures’, but what it indicates is a lack of true democracy, where the power of money creation lies in the hands of a small minority.
To gain real power we need to develop a social dialogue about the roots of our common crisis, and to work together at turning things around.
Ann Emmett of COMER (the Committee for Monetary and Economic Reform) will be the key note guest speaker and this year the forum will focus on The Bank of Canada by featuring updates on the current court action being taken against the Federal Government regarding their irresponsible monetary actions.
The Statement of Claim by COMER was filed in December 2011 against Her Majesty the Queen, The Finance Minister of National Revenue, The Bank of Canada and The Attorney General of Canada to restore the Bank of Canada to its original purpose.
Even if you cannot attend the forum, please pass along this invitation poster. We can use your help spreading the word.
Also, we need help setting up and lunch coverage. Please let us know if you are available Saturday morning (8-10am setup, 11am-1pm lunch).
Attached is a the Flyer for the event. Please circulate these and post where possible.
Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions
